| You may be able to live without them but you won’t enjoy modern living as you have come to know it. |
Storage Containers may not be the most glamourous but they are easily one of the most vital components of 21st century living and have been for some time. Almost every manufactured product humans consume spends some time at some point in a storage/ transport container.
Originally used for shipping coal by rail, and made out of wood or iron, industrial containers are now virtually airtight and are capable of keeping goods such as food frozen or refrigerated in temperatures ranging from -24˚C right up to 50˚C.
It is marine containers that store vital supplies and equipment for the army; it is domestic containers that allow us to go into a supermarket and buy foods from around the country and around the globe. Our clothes, our stationary, our computers arrive on stroage containers and the list is endless.
Tim Davis from Container Exchange, supplier of containers to Waitrose, M&S, Sainsbury’s and the armed forces says, “We design storage containers that are designed to protect goods and the welfare of the armed forces. They are capable of enduring even the toughest of temperatures and with over 20 years of experience, we’re confident that we can build storage or domestic containers suitable for any circumstance.”
The role of storage containers don’t just stop at enhancing worldwide trade and supporting armies, there is now an architectural push to recycle shipping containers for developed- world housing. The shipping container homesare the perfect solution- they have already been fabricated and are designed for transporting.
