The 'Green' Breaking Eco Fuel

ECOFuel could be the new green fuel for caterers.
ECOFuel is one of the most recent and one of the most ground-breaking products to be introduced to the market by Kavis this year. It is an environmentally friendly, high performance new chafing fuel product that is spill resistant with no offensive odours and is ideal for the hospitality sector. The further product benefits of ECOFuel are even more compelling however; made from 100% biodegradable, inert materials, it burns longer, burns cleaner and is easy to re-light and re-use until the fuel is completely consumed.

ECOFuel has been in development as a portable heat-source in the US for the past nine years and has gained a raft of commendations and approvals from Health Departments and Fire Departments throughout the country. Environmentally safe, it is one of the only canned fuels on the UK market that is completely biodegradable. It can be used safely with food and can be handled safely while in the warmer mode.

“Here in the UK, ECOFuel was awarded the endorsement of the leading industry association, the Craft Guild of Chefs, after being rigourously tested for health and safety in both burn and non-burn states,” Chirag Shah of Kavis reported. “This is very reassuring for caterers, especially when they know that the tests it successfully passed included punching holes in the can and tipping the can over while burning to check that no leakage or spillage occurred. It performed exceptionally well in all tests according to testers.”

The case to convert to ECOFuel is even more convincing when you consider its efficiency. It is capable of multiple use so there is minimal waste and it combines the heat of a gel with the burn time of a wick. It produces a wider plume than a wick and because it does not burn down into the can like a gel it lasts longer than a gel. Temperature is adjusted through an innovative dual function lid and ECOFuel will burn for up to 4 hours when cooking and up to 6 hours when warming.

“It is not only a responsible choice for the environment it can actually save on costs,” Shah concluded. “There's no waste and no mess. ECOFuel is the perfect choice for green caterers.”
