Fibre Optic Strain Gauge Kit

The Strain Gauge Installation Kit allows fast, easy and reproducible installation of fibre optic Strain Gauges (SG-01) to various surfaces. With a patented method, optical gauge installation uses a specially designed mounting tool - the Sensor Pad. After installation, the pad is removed eliminating interference with the strain measurement.

This also means that the pad can be reused for the installation of other sensors. The adhesive is UV-curable, which makes installation fast and easy. Curing of the adhesive happens in two steps: (1) a fast pre-cure (typically 30s) through the sensor pad and (2) a longer final cure after removal of the sensor pad to fully cure the adhesive (typically 5 to 10mins).
