In applying the principal of practising what they preach, storage specialists Action Storage have completed a major reorganisation of their warehouse in Milton Keynes . By making maximum use of the space available, they have been able to expand to an additional 140 pallet positions. Action Storage has also taken delivery of the latest Translift Bendi Long Loader (articulated forklift truck) to further enhance the speed and efficiency of their service to customers.
Action Storage has been able to increase their storage space without increasing their warehouse’s physical size by applying their methodology in maximising how space is used. In utilising their Superbuild pallet racking system, Action Storage has been able to plan, adjust and customise their storage arrangement to best fit their stock requirements.
The rearrangement has also saved the inconvenience and significant expense of having to seek out additional premises, or expand the existing warehouse in order to stock the same volume. The cost of the reorganisation and purchase of the Translift Bendi is minimal in comparison.
The additional 140 pallet positions means they can now stock higher volumes of shelving and racking, and consequently more products will be available for delivery within their rapid 5-7 working days timeframe.

Action Storage’s new Long Loader from Translift Bendi, pioneers of the articulated forklift in Britain, can operate in narrower aisles than most other forklifts. Unlike traditional side loaders, the Long Loader’s swivelling forks enables it to be able to access stock on either side of an aisle without having to reverse and turnaround. Consequently, the new Long Loader enables Action Storage’s warehouse staff to operate more efficiently when fulfilling customer orders.
Action Storage’s successful overhaul of their warehouse has provided a practical demonstration of their expertise in maximising storage space.
