About us

DAVANT was established in 1989 by David Merrick who started the business working out of a portacabin on a farm in rural Herefordshire selling pipe insulation into plumber’s merchants.

Thirty three years later DAVANT are still part of the privately owned LINTHWAITE GROUP of companies which are firmly established as nationwide manufacturing and distribution business specialising in the Plumbing and Building Industry.

As an independently owned business itself, DAVANT takes pride in selling over 5000 insulation and building plastics’ products predominantly into the independent merchant sector.

Davant maintain very strong stock levels of high quality products and these are distributed from our Distribution Centres, in Herefordshire and Scotland, predominantly on our own liveried fleet of vehicles and drivers.

DAVANT is continuosly developing its range of plumbing plastics under the DAVANT MONARCH range. This currentlt comprises a range of above and below ground, waste, soil and underground fittings and extrussions. These are produced from UPV, a strong, durable and BSEN 1566-1:2000 shatter proof material. The products are manufactured to all relevant British Standards
