Last Bros is 70 this year and with a labels division established for 40 of those years, by 2016 were printing Litho on Delta's and Flexo on an Edale. The market had evolved and we needed to print more cost effectively, much quicker and still maintain the highest levels of quality. With these most important factors in mind, we looked to invest in our future and found the d-flex combination Digital / Flexo press, were very impressed and with the excellent support & encouragement of James Thomas their Business Development and Marketing Manager (aka super sales guy!), in January this year installed a new Focus d-Flex hybrid UV digital inkjet press.The ‘One + One’ configuration, has the latest Inkjet KM1800i print heads from Konica Minolta integrated into the d-Flex and can reach production speeds of up to 70m/min.Our machine is configured with two flexo stations, built-in lamination and rotary die-cutting, giving us the flexibility of full print and conversion in-line.We feel the addition of this cutting edge press signifies a re-birth for our company and assures our future. We are delighted with the machine, our on-going relationship with James and Focus Labels and would whole heartedly recommend them.
