School canopies and playground shelters We have a long history of providing a range of timber or steel framed canopies with fabric or polycarbonate roof options as well as a standard range of elegant tensile fabric canopy designs. These structures are an eye-catching addition to school grounds, maximising the use of outside space by bringing it under cover for use as playground shelters, entrance canopies, outside classrooms, parent waiting areas and all-weather outside space for sports activities, leisure and as an overspill outside dining area for the school canteen. Fordingbridge’s experience means it is able to work within the school environment whilst causing minimal disruption and keeping pupil safety issues at the top of the agenda. Our speciality is the provision of practical
bespoke canopy solutions for schools including large steel framed canopies and bespoke designs for awkward corners, sloping sites and covered walkways for joining existing buildings.

With the use of clever design and robust, proven sustainable building technology Fordingbridge continues to innovate and to ensure its buildings reach a standard of sustainability that scores an EPC of at least ‘A’ rating and BREAAM ‘excellent’ criteria. These sustainable buildings are perfect for the education sector where they are increasingly used as a sustainable solution to
school and education building design sustainable classroom buildings,
pre school and nursery buildings and visitor centres for leisure and education.

Tensile fabric structures Fordingbridge offers a range of tensile fabric designs including umbrella, walkway and double or triple conic. These tensile designs are an elegant solution where canopies or architectural impact are required.
