About us

GroundGuards Ltd supplies and hires a wide range of plastic ground protection systems that are ideal for temporary roadways, footpaths, and car parks. The protection systems protect the ground, saving the grass from being churned up as well as protecting the grass areas from erosion and rutting during construction projects. The panels can also be used for the protection of tree roots where site access is needed to pass close to trees.

Compared to other methods such as stripping and laying gravel for access roads on construction sites, GroundGuards' temporary access systems are ideal.  A temporary roadway can be installed quickly and easily, which prevents ground damage, the need for grass reinstatement and avoids the needs to the ground to be excavated, whicn endangers tree roots under the surface. 

Ground Guards products are environmentally friendly.  Most are made from 100% recycled plastic that would otherwise potentially end up as landfill.  All products are recyclable at end of life. They are a superior and sustainable alternative to using plywood sheets. 

GroundGuards' trackway panels are mostly light enough to be installed by hand.  Larger mechanically installed sytems are also available with up to 4 x 2m panels for very heavy vehicle across very soft ground. These trackways provide a high level of traction for large and small vehicles.  There are also other systems for pedestrian walkways, event flooring and interior and exterior floor protection during construction works.
