Isleham Fresh Produce, a member of the Produce World Group, needed a reliable high speed door on site to facilitate the efficient handling and transportation of fresh fruit and vegetables around the warehouse.
Thoroughbred Industrial Doors Ltd provided the answer in the shape of Hörmann’s V6030SE high speed door, which over the first 12 months since installation managed over 400 000 open and close cycles.
While it is recommended that most doors of this type only do 200 000 cycles over a 12 month period, the V6030SE installed at Isleham Fresh Produce managed double that figure. The fact that the door has also remained maintenance free emphasises the quality engineering associated with the Hörmann brand.
Adrian Sheldrick, Director at Thoroughbred Industrial Doors Ltd commented: “This is the highest number of cycles I have seen a door of this type complete. Taking into account the frequent use and fact that there have been no reported faults proves what a good product it is.”
The V6030SE is perfect for fresh food handling, especially where goods are being moved to and from a temperature sensitive environment. With an opening speed of up to 3m/s and high levels of thermal insulation, the V6030SE helps maintain a constant temperature and reduce energy wastage.
The V6030SE comes with Hörmann’s anti-crash protection system which helps protect goods, equipment and staff in the event of an accident on site. The system significantly reduces any damage to the door which minimises downtime and saves on repair costs.
Perfect for internal and external use, the V6030SE easily withstands wind pressures of up to 70km/h thanks to spring steel wind protectors and is available in an assortment of RAL colours.
