Environ Launches New Professional Self Tanning Treatment

29 May 2008

Awareness of the sun’s damage to our skin is increasing but our appetite for an attractive soft tan is showing little sign of diminishing - so the emphasis in advice from therapists should be on alternative safer tanning methods.

With this in mind, Environ Skin Care has developed a new professional tanning treatment for the face and body using its Self Tan Gel.

Modern sunless tans have come a long way since they first came onto the market but many people still find self application awkward, time consuming and messy.  Environ’s Self Tan Treatment is professionally applied by hand, especially created to alleviate the stress of home tanning, giving a streak-free, natural sun-kissed glow.

Tracy Tamaris, director of training programmes for Environ in the UK says, “To ensure clients get the best results, advise them to gently exfoliate using a lactic acid lotion and moisturise with a body oil daily for a week prior to treatment.”

The hydrating and protective treatment uses a blend of plant extracts including soybean, DHA (dihydroxyacetone), avocado, rosemary and jojoba, and vitamin E, an important antioxidant which helps guard cells from environmental damage and reflects harmful UV.

Results are noticeable within approximately two hours. Client are advised to follow their Self Tan Treatment with a broad spectrum sun screen SPF15 or higher when exposed to the sun.
