A painfree installation for St Thomas' Hospital

David Bailey Furniture Systems was recently selected by Lodge & Son’s (Builders) Ltd to supply and fit furniture at St Thomas’ Hospital as part of a framework agreement between the Main Contractor and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital NHS Trust.

The Main Contractor, Lodge & Son’s Ltd of Camberley, Surrey were tasked with attending to the £275,000 refurbishment of the Pain Management and Phlebotomy Units including all mechanical and electrical services, removal of walls, ceilings, floor coverings and doors, and installing new to a completely revised floor plan.

A variety of David Bailey Furniture Systems’ Healthline range of fitted furniture was installed, including base and wall units, easy-clean worktops for hygienic purposes, shelving, keyboard and monitor shelves, and storage cupboards for the storage of medical supplies.

Quantity Surveyor Rus Ball, of Lodge & Sons (Builders) Ltd, commented: “David Bailey Furniture Systems were excellent in every respect, providing well crafted fitted furniture and a high level of customer service.  Given the opportunity, I would have no hesitation in using them again.”

The Pain Management and Phlebotomy Units provide a wide range of support and special care clinics for patients dealing with chronic and acute pain stemming from rheumatologic, orthopaedic, gynaelogical, haematological and neurological conditions.

In addition to this contract, David Bailey Furniture Systems’ has also supplied fitted furniture for St Thomas’ Hospital’s Metabolic Unit and Haematological Unit, for projects valued at £60,000 and £70,000 respectively.
