New Compact HDMI Fibre Optic Extender

ITM Components, the leading global distributor of Extron Electronics, are pleased to announce the imminent release of the HFX 100 in January 2013. The HFX 100 is an transmitter and receiver set for the extension of HDCP compliant HDMI signals over long distances over one fibre optic cable.
This compact and economical extender uses all-digital technology to deliver immaculate image display up to 1920x1200, including HDTV 1080p/60. It extends the signal over a multi-mode fibre optic cable at lengths of up to 300 meters (984 feet). Supported HDMI specification features include data rates up to 6.25 Gbps, 12-bit Deep Colour, HD lossless audio formats, and CEC.The HFX 100 is the logical solution for a wide range of applications that require long distance point-to-point extension of HDMI signals. As the transmission of content is inherently secure and immune to outside interference, fibre applications are favoured in government, military, and medical environments.
The transmitter and receiver are housed in 1U high, one-eighth rack width metal enclosures for convenient, discreet installation. For straightforward integration, attached ultra-flexible HDMI cables allow for direct connection to source and display.
For connecting the HFX 100 transmitter and receiver, pre-terminated multi-mode fibre optic cable assemblies from Extron are available in various lengths from one meter (3.3 feet) to 60 meters (197 feet). The extender features industry standard LC-type connectivity between transmitter and receiver.
