Firesafe Stops Unauthorised Exits with the Door Stopper

17 September 2008

Firesafe announces the launch of the FS6400 Exit Stopper; a unique and highly effective way to alert the customer of an unauthorised exit or entry of fire or emergency doors.

If a door is opened, the electronic exit stopper emits an ear piercing alarm for 30 seconds, three minutes or continuously (as preset by the user). Once the door is closed, it automatically resets.

A variety of alarm durations and automatic reset features are available and when used in alarm mode, a key override will silence the alarm and allow authorised exits through the door.

The stopper is fitted with a 9V PP3 alkaline battery and is available in green or red for almost any type of door, mounting or installation including remote placement of the sounder.

To compliment the stopper, there is also the FS6200 Theft Stopper; to help prevent theft, vandalism or misuse of a fire extinguisher while leaving the extinguisher accessible for emergencies and does not interfere with fire fighting.

If the fire extinguisher is moved from its normal position, the device simply emits a piercing alarm. Also, its visible ‘stop sign’ design aims to discourage wrongful use.
The device is easy to install and a deactivation cable is supplied for ease of servicing the extinguisher.
