Flowpoint helps to rebuild Jersey after destructive winter storms

17 June 2014

La Grande Maison slip way, located in St. Catherine’s Jersey, was in need of urgent repair after becoming damaged as a result of the devastating storms in early 2014. Many of the sea walls on the island had collapsed and the lifeboat launch area also required immediate repair.

The States of Jersey Transport and Technical Service required a paving grout to help re-build the sea walls and slip ways that would not only be strong enough to withstand any future storms and the constant trafficking of the lifeboat, but also fit in with the beautiful surroundings.

Norman Ltd, distributor of Ultrascape’s independently tested and approved mortar paving system, supplied the States of Jersey with Flowpoint, a rapid set flowable paving grout, ideal for grouting most paving types including natural stone, concrete flags and clay paviours.

Mixed easily with water, Flowpoint can fill joint widths of 5-50mm and joint depths of up to 200mm in one pour, leaving a perfect, stain-free finish. What’s more, Flowpoint can even be applied in the wet weather, perfect for when projects need to be completed during winter months, such as this one. It can even be opened to foot traffic in 1 hour and vehicular traffic 4 hours, minimising disruption.

With a track record spanning over 25 years, you can be assured that when strength, durability and style matter, Flowpoint is the world’s number one choice for all paving projects.
