Church chooses electrically operated partition for ease of use.

18 August 2015

As part of the remodelling to their first floor, a Church in Oxford wanted to create a multi-purpose area which would be used for the large congregation to hold their main worship services, and smaller separate groups to have individual classes.

The ideal solution was an accordion folding partition. Limited space at one end meant the partition would all need to stack at the other end where a recess made stacking the partition out of sight achievable. Given the length of the partition it was decided to use a motorised door that could be operated by a simple key switch- rather than churchgoers having to struggle moving a large door manually.

The installation has proved very effective allowing the spaces to be separated, or opened up at the flick of a switch. One Church member commented ‘I am really impressed; the door is so easy to use’.
