Bruel & Kjaer UK launch 2010 course calendar

Bruel & Kjaer have just launched their 2010 training course calendar with discounted rates available for contract customers.

Bruel and Kjaer UK has launched its 2010 training course calendar, which offers a 10% discount for its contract customers. The discount applies for any of the companys' customers with a current M1 and multi (3 to 5 year) contract, registering for any course throughout the year.

The training starts mid April, beginning with Sound Insulation, which is aimed at anyone new to building acoustics, room acoustics or Brüel & Kjær’s 2260, 2250 or 2270 Sound Level Analysers with building or room acoustics modules. The session includes theory and measurement of building acoustics parameters, relevant British Standards and Building Regulations, airborne sound insulation, impact sound insulation and reverberation time, with an emphasis on practical measurement tasks.

Also running during April will be a course focusing on Basic Vibration Measurements, where attendees can learn how to correctly choose and fit accelerometers for a wide variety of applications. There will be a focus on teaching users how to measure vibration levels and analyse the frequency spectrum.

This years' calendar also contains dates and details of vibration expert, LDS Test & Measurement’s specialist course, as the company is now part of Brüel & Kjær. Vibration Testing for Engineers is a two day course is designed around the needs of engineers new to the subject of vibration testing, but also offers a useful refresher for more experienced users.

There is also an optional third day, which is a mostly practical session covering LDS’ Laser USB Controller for sine, random, shock and mixed mode testing.
