Reid Lifting launch unique 1 tonne PORTA-DAVIT at Pollutec Paris

REID Lifting Ltd, a leading designer and manufacturer of lightweight, portable lifting systems, chose Pollutec Paris to launch its unique 1 Tonne PORTA-DAVIT system last week.
REID Lifting exhibited their range of lifting systems and used Pollutec as a vehicle for launching and demonstrating their new and unique, lightweight, portable davit system with a Working Load Limit of 1 tonne. Pollutec Horizon Paris attendance is a must for environment professionals and over a period of 4 days attracted more than 40,000 decision makers from industry, construction, the service sector and local authorities in search of solutions to environmental and economic challenges.REID Lifting also sponsored a presentation area for trends in the use of Lightweight Portable Lifting systems, demonstrating the benefits of such technologies to users and buyers in terms of Health & Safety, manual handling, utilisation, planning and financial considerations.

“We enjoyed a tremendously positive response to our new PORTA-DAVIT1000 as the water industry, in particular, struggles with increasingly heavy pumps and filters it has to regularly lift in water and waste treatment plants. They immediately recognised the benefits of such a unique system in providing additional lifting capacity, whilst still being portable. The resulting key benefits expressed were the flexibility now available to them and the margin of safety available to the user given the design, analysis, notified body testing and accreditation regime we follow and the fact that every system we ship from our UK factory is load tested to 150% of WLL, providing clients and users with the greatest safety factors in the industry; something we are very proud and passionate about.”

If we had them available at Pollutec we could have taken many orders but we wanted to announce the product a few months ahead of general availability to allow key specifiers and engineers to plan for the inclusion of the PORTA-DAVIT1000 into current and future project plans.”
