A sophisticated revamp for Novus Leisure

Premium bar and nightclub owner chose National Flooring to complete refurbishments with durable yet galmourous resin floors.
Novus Leisure, a premium bar operator in major urban markets, has recently undertaken a big refurbishment of a number of venues within London. The operator was looking for a highly aesthetic floor finish that provided outstanding durability for these high footfall venues and called upon their preferred contractor, National Flooring to provide the optimal solution. Strawberry Moons, The Loop, Babble and On Anon are amongst the bars that have recently been refurbished to complement Novus Leisure’s sophisticated and glamorous image. Whilst each of the venues offer a different experience, all of the venues follow a very similar luxurious design theme with black padded booths, extravagant chandeliers and diamante buttons. Novus Leisure was therefore looking for a stylish floor to complement the surroundings and the Degafloor QT system in black with either gold or silver glitter provided the ideal solution. The Degafloor QT system is an extremely durable resin flooring solution. The mix of aggregates and resin which is trowelled onto the floor provides a long-lasting, seamless floor finish. The operator, which had previously used wooden, concrete and tiled finishes, found that their existing floors did not provide a suitable solution to match the range of requirements specified for the new refurbishment projects. The Degafloor QT system not only provides outstanding durability but also offers excellent flexibility in terms of aesthetics and allowed Novus Leisure to create a bespoke, highly decorative finish to match the internal décor. Through careful planning and co-operation with the main contractors on the refurbishment programmes, National Flooring was able to complete the installations to tight timescales due to the quick curing characteristics of the system. The Degafloor QT system, which cures fully within 2 hours, also ensures that installations can be completed in short shutdown periods to avoid disruption of the companies trading hours. The National Flooring Company has vast experience in the industry and is aware of the time constraints that restrict pubs and clubs. The Degafloor systems have a guaranteed bond to concrete, tiles and marine ply and allowed National Flooring to overlay the existing substrates, where possible, reducing the installation time. This unique bonding process also helps to reduce maintenance costs that are often associated with other finishes.
