Chamois launch new range of low and ultra-low Differential Pressure Sensors

27 May 2010

Chamois Metrology in partnership with Nichesensor are introducing a new range of low and ultra-low pressure transmitters.

Nichesensor is a french based company with over 30 years experience in the design and manufacture of high quality transmitters.

Designated the DS, DT and DV pressure transmitters, the standard ranges are between +/-5 mbar and +/-2 bar and are available in both uni-directional and bi-directional configurations. They have an accuracy of up to 0.15% with a beryllium copper and brass sensing element that is sealed from the media with options of welded stainless steel alloy or aluminium construction that makes them ideal for use in demanding and hostile environments.

Standard output is 2 wire, 4-20 mA current loop with an option of 3 wire 0-5V ensuring fine monitoring and control. The operating temperature is -40°c to 125°c.

When used in conjunction with a Nichesensor variable volume pump, they can be used for low pressure calibration. Models are also available for absolute pressure measurement and leak detection.

These products complement Chamois Metrologys' extensive portfolio of calibration equipment and services.

Industries where these innovative products can be used include process and control, automotive, pharmaceuticals and nuclear. Applications include wind tunnels, clean rooms, flow and level measurement, filter and furnace monitoring.
