Wall to Wall supplies discrete comms for Queens visit

02 September 2011

Wall to Wall Communications were approached by the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Hyde Park, to supply discrete radio communications, where Her Majesty was hosting a pre-wedding party for visiting Royalty and delegates.

The remit was very simple; complete coverage of the hotel and surrounding areas to be used by the hotels security personnel to support the entourage.

Wall to Wall Communications provided the highly efficient Motorola GP344 UHF (12 channels) two way radios for the security team with covert audio accessories.

Mandarin Oriental were delighted with the coverage and clarity of the equipment and are in the process of up-dating their existing equipment.

The Institute of Contemporary Arts is located very near to Westminster Abbey on the corner of St James’s Park and was chosen to provide hospitality for a wedding group where the balconies provide an overall vista.

Again, the request was for a small, lightweight, discrete radio and the Motorola GP344 was provided with a 3 wire cuff mic and ear bud and acoustic tube.

The radios were programmed with the ICA’s own frequency and were hired to compliment their own system equipment also provided by Wall to Wall Comms.

Head of Security for the ICA submitted very positive feedback complimenting Wall to Wall Comms on the timely delivery and service provided.

We are proud and honoured to have been involved with the festivities for the Royal Wedding albeit in a very small way but our contribution has been noted and both companies have since referred us to new clients in London where we are currently undertaking the supply and installation of a Hytera Digital Radio System and a Shop Watch Scheme involving over 60 outlets.
