iiaa Welcomes Introduction of Body Needling Insurance by BABTAC

The International Institute for Anti-Ageing (iiaa) has welcomed news from BABTAC (British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology) that skincare therapists can now obtain insurance to provide body needling treatments.
The organisation has confirmed an extension to its specialised needling insurance policy, which already allows therapists to work with up to 1.5mm needle rollers on the face, to cover 3mm body needling. The iiaa offers specially curved 1.5mm and 3mm Environ Body Roll-CIT™ rollers to enable highly effective Collagen Stimulation Therapy™ treatment of scars, stretch marks and lax skin on curved surfaces of the torso, arms and legs. Collagen Stimulation Therapy™ combines micro-needling with the support of Environ vitamin skincare products for enhanced results.
“Appropriately qualified and trained therapists will now be able to offer the same level of results on the body as they have been achieving in facial treatments,” says iiaa training director Tracy Tamaris.
