Always do a test on your garage floor before painting. Firstly rub a serrated coin across the surface of the concrete, if it comes up dusty the surface should be acid etched, thoroughly rinsed and allowed to dry before painting. This isn't nearly as bad as it sounds and an acid etch is available from our website. Please also note that if there is no DPM under the concrete moisture rising up through the concrete will eventually push coatings off. If you are unsure tape a plastic bag down on the concrete and leave it for a few hours or overnight. If there is condensation on the underside of the bag then we would advise using our epoxy floor paint. Do not use PVA or any other concrete sealer before you use floor paint as this can cause delamination, always follow our instructions that are included with every order carefully

NVPs Anti slip polyurethane floor paint is a tough general purpose single pack solvent based floor paint incorporating finely crushed dolomite to give a low profile anti slip finish. Ideal for garages, workshops, warehouses, storerooms etc. Oil resistant, suitable for light to medium use.

NVPs Anti-slip water based acrylic floor paint is a hard wearing single pack acrylic designed to seal, colour and protect concrete floors ideal for factory and garage floors but not suitable for overpainting existing coatings. Incorporates finely ground dolomite to give a low profile anti slip finish.

 There is now Flag's Heavy Duty Elastomeric Floor Paint available which gives a tougher and more wear resistant finish than either of the above. It is also more resistant to the plasticisers that can leech out of tyres when they're hot and wet that cause small patches of delamination.

 Two Part Epoxy Floor Paint is a very tough and hard wearing product and is the only product that can be applied before the concrete is fully cured (6 - 8 weeks approximately). Please note that once the two components are mixed together you will only have a pot life of 1 -2 hours which means a separate pot will be required for each coat.
