AXIS Entrance Systems Ltd is independently owned with over 30 years' experience as a manufacturer in the automatic door industry, working in healthcare, education, government agency and commercial sectors. Our products, which are custom made to suit specific applications, include - Manual and Automatic Swing & Sliding Doors, Hermetically Sealed Doors, Steel Doors, Glazed Low Level Curtain Wall & Shop Fronts.
From a central UK base, Axis offers a complete fabrication, installation and maintenance service.
As part of continuing development and to meet customer requirements, Axis has sole UK distributorships for Doorson Automatic Door products, Manusa Healthcare Doors and Stanley Automatic & Healthcare Doors.

Axis has extensive knowledge and experience in the automatic door industry, dealing with a wide range of clients in both the public and private sectors. Axis is an active member of ADSA – Automatic Door Suppliers Association. Detailed risk assessments to BS7036-0 and surveys ensure all installations conform to all EN16005:2012 safety standards. We have an array of accreditations and are always seeking to improve. We ensure that our staff are trained and given opportunities to develop and grow with us. All our technical and engineering staff are certified to EN16005, CSCS Health and Safety where appropriate and receive continual product training.

Axis is the proud developer of the Flo-Motion® manual sliding door system, a multi award winning and innovative product designed specifically for BDP Architects and installed at the new Alder Hey Children's Hospital in Liverpool. To date Axis Flo-Motion® doors have won 4 important design awards including the 2016 European Healthcare Design Award for Innovation and Quality Improvement.

Axis Install Manusa Hermetically Sealed Doors Hospitals are demanding environments for most suppliers, particularly when it comes to doors and the new Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in Liverpool is certainly no exception. As well as the 200 plus manual sliding doors to each bedded room, Axis Automatic Entrance Systems Ltd also installed 11 Manusa Hermetically Sealed Automatic Doors in isolation areas on a number of the wards.

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital and Axis Flo-Motion® Doors At the new Alder Hey Children’s Health Park three quarters of patients will be in single rooms rather Nightingale wards. The importance of light and airiness was vital to the whole design concept and this meant the doors for each of the patient’s rooms had to be large for ease of access for beds and equipment, glazed for brightness and airiness, have privacy blinds for examinations or just occasional solitude, and finally they had to be easily opened and closed - by a child.

Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital Improve Access with Axis The ongoing refurbishment programme at the Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital identified a set of emergency exit doors on the Holly Suite Cardiac Day Care Unit being regularly used as a delivery point for supplies and exit for waste materials. The doors were not automated which made it difficult to move trolleys through the doorway and left them prone to damage, both cosmetic and functional.

Disabled Toilets and Access Control Why do disabled people need automatic doors to enter a building if, once inside, they are deemed capable of opening a toilet door unaided?
I would like to personally like to thank Junior Matthew. He was extremely consistent in finding me a car even though I missed out on a few.
