Excel Trailers is based in Hoddesdon and have experience of manufacturing mobile catering trailers and catering van conversions for over 20 years. We are known for superior quality, excellent value for money and professional after sales experience. We are also one of the UK'S leading manufactures of mobile catering and exhibitions trailers. We have also worked with corporate clients such as Hellmans, Essex Radio and many more. We can also help you on the road to success we are very friendly and easy to do business with. Although we specialise in the manufacture of mobile trailers and exhibition trailers we also offer a tow bar fitting service, trailer servicing, trailer repair and trailer hire. We also make number plates and sell various different catering equipment. We also offer a product called chip on a stick which is an exciting concept and gives an exciting twist to the humble potato which is sold at shows, events, chip shops and other fast food places all details can be found on our website.

Had to spend £17,500 having the vehicle rebuilt. Main struts cut through and not re fixed or reinforced. New hatch was not attached the vehicle at all. Electric cables were domestic quality (Household Twin and Earth) and not commercial wiring. We had to replace all this with Artic Blue Automotive Flex cable. Gas ventilation was directed into the kitchen area not through the floor as gas is heavier than air. There was thermal layer between the ceiling and vehicle roof, so water gathered and started pouring through joints water also leaked into the fuse box. Mold and damp became a continued issue.We have had a private independent inspection. The vehicle was too heavy and not road worthy after it had been converted. They said if we had been hit from behind in a shunt the vehicle had no integrity and would have potentially folded in half. The keys were taken off us as the vehicle was deemed as dangerous and non-roadworthy. We are a charity; this has been extremely distressing for us.They ignored our legal letters. We are in contact with Trading Standards.
