I paid the best part of £400 to have my ride-on lawnmower serviced to be ready for Spring. It didn’t start when I got it back. I was left wondering what the point of getting it ready for Spring was! They said I could pay another pick up charge and they would fix it or I could investigate the issue myself. When I said surely I should expect it to be ready to use after their service they said basically it was tough because it worked when they had it. I had to push it off the drive where they left it into the back garden. It started once since and then failed again. I now have the investigation ahead having spent almost £400 with them. The worst of it was the attitude of the guy on the phone who said it was not their problem - sort it out yourself! And it worked perfectly before I had it serviced! A bit like the last review - they just don’t care about customer perception.

I was advised by stiga that my mountfield lawnmower was under warranty and to take it to my my nearest service centre. They sent me a link which had Ray Foster as the closest. I called Ray Foster Garden machinery in advance, told them about the fault and the conversation with stiga and they told me to bring it in with the proof of purchase. I arrived at their shop after a 35 minute drive with the lawnmower and the proof of purchase as instructed by them. They then turned me away stating that the warranty repair rates they get from Stiga aren't good and refused to accept the lawnmower! Please take my advice and take your custom elsewhere. I will also be informing Stiga what happened and asking they rethink about having this company in their approved service centre list.
