You will support Glazing Visions existing distributor network and assist with building brand awareness in their markets by offering technical and sales support to architects, contractors and clients.
Occasional site visits may be required both in Europe and the US and the candidate will be expected to cover all daily operations of the International Sales function in the IDM’s absence which will include:
Inbound email enquiries and re-distribution
Qualifying leads, assessing drawings, tenders and specifications, compiling technical information in order to provide quotations
Processing sales orders to a high standard
Market research and local legislation
Using Barbour database to contact architects and contractors, developing potential leads and lines of communication
Record keeping and reporting of sales and quotations/enquiries for review quarterly by the board
Skills and Attributes
Commercial awareness with the confidence to suggest recommendations to IDM with regard to securing future business or individual orders.
Some technical ability would be desirable, but more importantly the enthusiasm and interest to learn about technical aspects of the various construction methods used by Glazing Vision and how these relate to the building fabric.
Ability to quickly understand architectural drawings and extrapolate information so that this can be communicated clearly to third parties or other departments within GV.
Organisational skills and time management are a must as you will be operating on different time zones with large numbers of enquiries, whilst depending on information from various departments
Self-confidence and decision making abilities are important and there will be a degree of autonomy whilst IDM is out, candidate will be expected to make sound decisions so that the company is protected commercially and so that the correct product is supplied to the client.
Languages desirable but not essential
Usual IT skills, computer literate etc
