Martin Hardy is a graduate of Milton Agricultural College; he holds the City and Guilds Award for Agriculture, Horticulture and Allied Industries.

MHCS started trading in 1987, since then has been steadily growing from small contracts with Farmers and Landowners to larger grounds maintenance contracts for various companies and organisations in the Cambridge area as well as regular contracting in East Anglia.

Our expertise gained over the past 34 years has enabled us to provide our customers with a variety of services from the straight forward to those that require something a little different. We pride ourselves in our flexibility and quality of service. The majority of our work comes from referrals by existing customers who are more than satisfied with our service. Taking pride in our work and looking after the Environment and nature.

We provide the following range of services, but we are are happy to look at any work that doesn't quite fall into any of the traditional categories.

Using the latest machinery. Most of the machinery run on HVO fuel which gives up to a 18% saving on emissions which helps the Environment.

We have Robot controlled mowers for steep banks and areas that a maned machinery cannot be use for safety purposes ,flat areas , water res open or enclosed, river areas, wildlife areas also. This machine can be used on highways verges .This machine can be used in other application for cutting long and difficult areas.

Rear mounted fails for the compact tractors for smaller areas. Rear mounted finishing mower for managed grass areas.

For areas of fine grass as playing field, schools, open areas the triples machine we use are best and leave a nice finish.

We have many other smaller machines for grass areas that are not able to have large machinery in them, like around buildings and other places.

We have hand held equipment for grass and hedges.

For pathways walk behind machines form 36 inches wide up to 52 inches for wildlife areas and walkways.

Cut and collect machine 32 inches wide for the shorter grass areas.

Hedge cutting for farms and verge mower the large 6 metre side arm can cope with this, for thicker branches we have a twin bladed circular saw.

Hedge cutting in smaller areas the compact tractors with the 3 metre fail side arm .

For softer hedges the swing trim can be used with a 3 metre reach.
