Full Time, 40 hours per week, based at Fradley Park, Lichfield
Post Title:
Mechanical Design Engineer
Responsible to:
Operations Director
The position:
As Design Engineer you will be responsible for the conceptual design, development, prototyping and testing of all new and existing products.
You will provide technical support on new and existing products and liaise with suppliers on the technical aspects of integrating new products.
Responsible for the design and delivery of training in line with new products you will also provide technical updates and compile product installation operating manuals.
In line with our commitment to ISO 9001 you will oversee the continuous improvement and value engineering of existing products.
The successful Mechanical Design Engineer will be:
You will hold a degree in engineering (design/mechanical) or equivalent through experience. A degree in Mechatronics would be a distinct advantage.
You will be an experienced user of SolidWorks and MS Office Suite along with a working knowledge of AutoCAD.
A proven track record in industrial manufacturing processes is essential for this role along with experience of mechanical and electromechanically designed devices.
Articulate with excellent communication and presentation skills along with experience of designing and delivering training on new products.
Creative and practical problem solver you will be self-motivated with a passion for our business.
Knowledge of ISO9001 Quality Management System and New Product Introduction process (NPI) would be a distinct advantage.
