About us

Richmond Oak specialise in the manufacture of bespoke conservatories, orangeries and garden rooms all of which are made from seasoned oak. Let Richmond Oak turn your conservatory vision into a reality with the help of our sunroom, conservatory and orangery design team.  We pride ourselves in the ability to transform the look, the comfort and value of your property with bespoke timber conservatories and orangeries.

Oak Gable Conservatories
Richmond Oak is well practiced in the supply of natural oak beams and gable oak stands to create a timeless conservatory which weathers and matures over time, blending in with the existing home.

The Orangery style conservatory is an exciting way to extend your home. Dating back to the pre-Georgian period, orangeries became popular due to their characterised symmetrical windows and combination of brick or stone with glass. Orangeries are known for their practicality compared to standard conservatories due to better insulation on cold months and added protection in the summer.

Lantern Conservatories
Lantern Conservatories create a distinctive look with classic appeal. With a two tier, spacious appeal, the Lantern Conservatory is a favourite choice for pool enclosures and orangeries, whether in brick and stone or the classic glass style.

Georgian Conservatories
The Georgian Conservatory is designed to suit many period homes dating back to the 1720’s and 1840’s. Made from glass, wrought iron and wood the Georgian conservatory is now inspired by the period rather than reproductions of what was built at that time.

Veranda Conservatories
The Veranda Conservatory boasts an elegant blend of heritage and practicality, suitable for any property. Whether there is a wintery shower or a warm spring and summer, you can enjoy a Veranda conservatory all year round.

Cartwheel Conservatories
Inspired by Georgian architecture the Cartwheel  conservatory is characterised by its decorative front entrance, creating a wonderfully light, airy room from which to enjoy the garden.

Edwardian Conservatories
Edwardian conservatories are designed to complement any modern home. The design combines function and style due to the rectangular shape providing generous space and the roof creating a strong focal point.

Contemporary Conservatories
Contemporary Conservatories is the evolution  of Georgian Conservatories and Victorian Conservatories as well as new building materials and advances in the manufacture of glass. The Contemporary conservatory is designed to blend in with any modern building or architecture. Our New direct glaze Contemporary range provides unique features whereby the glass is direct glazed into 110mm square posts. *"UK Patent Application No 1015247.8 & European Community Design Registration No 001754722"

Farmhouse Conservatories
Farmhouse Conservatories create that rustic appeal bringing your farm house more light and a spacious living space. The Farmhouse conservatory is manufactured from seasoned oak and rugged frames and the construction can include old bricks and even flint work.

Victorian Conservatories
In the Victorian era the Victorians were passionate about their conservatories, experimenting with new materials, embellishing them with graceful architectural details.  To this day, the style has not changed as it includes many design features from the Victorian era. Windows and doors still have the gothic shape and there are hints of asymmetrical shapes in the roof glazing along with a steep roof mirroring the roof of the existing property.

Cloister Conservatories
The Cloister Conservatory is a creative living space that links either a house to a garage, utility area or even pool house. The stylish conservatory benefits from quality materials and every modern comfort and is an ideal solution for traditional or contemporary home-owners.

Lean-to Conservatories
Designed to complement modern or period homes, the Lean-to conservatory is an attractive design for many clients as the simple roof can be less expensive to install compared to conservatories with a pitch roof.

Richmond Oak Conservatories Ltd

I am extremely pleased with the the level of service and standard of workmanship which Richmond Oak delivers. The materials arrived completely on time and the fitter, Dave, was hard working and very tidy. The conservatory style roof is part of a kitchen extension and is still being worked on by other tradesmen and surveyors. Everyone one of them has passed comment to me about how good the workmanship is and that they could tell that the work had been undertaken with some TLC! Thank you Paul, Dave and everyone else involved in making my new extension so beautiful. I will certainly recommend you to anyone else in future.

Richmond Oak Conservatories Ltd

My first contact with Richmond Oak was by the internet where I saw that a Guide to Conservatory design and advice was available. I sent for this and found it excellent for my purpose. I was not looking for a traditional house extension but a free standing conservatory utilizing an old wall in my garden. From this guide I learnt about the different types of glass that could be installed and saw that Richmond knew what they were talking about. I decided at once that they would be my supplier. Having given outline dimensions I received a large number of CAD drawings with internal and external views that allowed me to “see” the conservatory. Some significant changes were made not least altering the location by 90 degrees to face south. I again received revised CAD drawings. The dimensions of the completed building are 8 metres by 3.1 metres so it is large but a wonderful addition to the house providing many felicitous comments from visitors. The automatic opening roof lights and under floor heating with high performance glass make it comfortable at all times. I live in the most northerly point of England. Service was excellent in Berwick upon Tweed. I would certainly recommend Richmond Oak to others; My overall experience was good in every detail. I was fortunate to alight on Richmond Oak, there are many other suppliers out there. Go for the best.
