Job Description

Technical Sales Engineer promoting the companies range of fastening products & solutions:

* Operating either from home-base or W.Midands HQ and taking responsibility for a well established Midlands/NORTH sales territory

* A consultative approach managing both existing key accounts and new business development activity (approx 60/40% split)

* Proactive & tenacious whilst being diplomatic in order to develop a professional relationship betwen customers and in-house colleagues alike

* Establish and develop strong network of contacts amongst key decison makers, specifiers & customer management; as comfortable with boardroom presentation and factory-floor application reviews

* Ensure that the company firmly remains as a strategic supply source

* Able to manage the business cycle from prospect through concept to purchase nomination and repeat orders

* Generate enquires / quotations and report on visit(s) actions, market activity & analyse commercial data 

Personal Qualities.

* Good Communicator(written/verbal/presentation) - able to influence & persuade others with reason & logic

* IT - competent with Microsoft Office applications; further development available

* Team Player, but able also to work in the field with minimal supervision

* Logical, professional; diplomatic & tactful when necessary, assertive when you have to be

* Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering background advantageous

* B2B Technical Sales experience i.e. OEM and their supply chains (directs & 3rd-party) important

* Previous sales or working within experience of the Plastics Industries, Metal forming and/or product assembly would be helpful

* Full UK , clean driving license - Regular UK travel with occasional nights away
