Finding homecare solutions to improve lax, scarred or pigmented areas of the body has long been a challenge for the cosmeceutical beauty industry.
Numerous body lotions aim to firm and smooth, but as with all topical skincare products, their ability to overcome the skin’s natural protective barrier limits their efficacy. When it’s not enough to simply apply a cream, what’s to be done? Enter the new Environ® Cosmetic Body Roll-CIT™, a unique rolling barrel device with integrated (0.2mm) needles which protrude just sufficiently to create micro-channels in the ‘dead’ skin surface layer. Rolling the skin means the ingredients in subsequently applied Environ skin care products can penetrate the active layers of the skin about 10,000 times more effectively, for better and faster results. The home-use tool features a patent pending component designed so that one can painlessly, easily and quickly roll large curved surfaces on the torso, arms and legs.
Using the Roll-CIT™ (CIT stands for Collagen Induction Therapy), in combination with the vitamin creams, assists in restoring skin tightness, helps reduce uneven skin tone and dark spots more quickly. The higher the levels of vitamin A and vitamin C that can penetrate into the lower layers of the epidermis, the greater the stimulation to the skin to make fresh collagen, enhancing the overall look and feel of skin.
The Roll-CIT™ rollers (which also include the smaller original for facial treatment) have been designed by skin needling pioneer Dr. Des Fernandes, eminent South African plastic surgeon and founder of the Environ Skin Care range, to provide better results from home skincare regimes by promoting the natural rejuvenation of ageing, sun-damaged and scarred skin. The new body roller takes into account the fact that no surface of the body is flat. It consists of two roller heads that are slightly tilted at an angle to allow for greater coverage.
