Face It Wins Environ Salon of the Year Award Again

22 May 2008

Dedication to client satisfaction and a firm belief in life time training in skin care therapy were the ingredients that helped the winning team land Environ’s UK Salon of the Year award for the fifth consecutive year.

Environ distributor Tracy Tamaris presented the award to anti-ageing and beauty clinic Face It, represented by owner Donna Gershinson and her staff of four at a recent gala awards event held at the IIAA conference in Berlin.  The Highgate, London-based salon sold more Environ products than any of the several hundred other beauty centres that offer the range in the UK.

The runner-up was In Harmony, Spirit & Balance, Hampton Court.

Donna commented, on winning the award for the fifth time, “Lots of people ask me, what’s your secret?  It’s about believing in the products you use. If you are serious about looking after your client’s skin you cannot sell her a range without active ingredients.

“My other message to other salons is that continuing education through courses and reading books is essential.  My staff’s in-depth knowledge about ingredients and how the skin really works has empowered us to help clients to really understand their own skin.

“The information that we have accumulated in the past five years from some superb educators enables us to help to manage clients concerns such as hyper-pigmentation, redness and breakouts in depth.  I believe we are in a better position to help than many medical professionals, who learn little about the skin in their own training and treat these as largely cosmetic issues.”

Environ Skin Care was developed by respected South African plastic surgeon Dr Des Fernandes to address the effects of UV radiation, pollution, stress and free radical damage.  Extremely effective, Environ salon treatments and homecare products feature scientifically proven active ingredients - vitamin A and antioxidant vitamins C, E and beta-carotene.
