Joris Ide’s ‘green’ micro rib gets new flat mate!

Architectural wall panel gains green accreditation

It’s super straight, super quick to install and super easy to work with – and now metal cladding specialist Joris Ide has just made its micro rib panel super flat as well. What’s more, the secret-fix architectural wall panel has also joined the ranks of its more environmentally friendly stable mates by adopting the patented L°5 low carbon polyisocyanurate insulating core, which has a ‘Global Warming Potential’ of less than five and is CFC and HCFC free.

This market-leading environmental achievement, coupled with the panel’s high performance and great aesthetics (clean, smooth lines are standard), make it a leading contender for clients, architects and cladding contractors looking for a high grade product that ticks both performance and environmental boxes.

“We know it’s a great product,” said Simon Grisewood, managing director of Joris Ide in the UK. “And now that it has an L°5 core it is an even more attractive proposition that sets Joris Ide apart from competitors – we are one of only two manufacturers offering a ‘low five’ panel in the UK. It’s an exclusive club and clients, architects etc should ask questions of their suppliers to ensure they are part of it. “We are also delighted that specialist contractors, and their installing teams, are now also recognising that not only is micro rib beautifully smooth in terms of creating perfectly straight elevations, it is also easier and quicker to work with than some competitor products.”

The panel – JI 1000/900/600 AMP to give it its proper name – has been installed with great success in micro rib format on an increasing number of projects around the country, including commercial premises on the newly developed Paragon:MK site near Bletchley, Milton Keynes, and as part of a development for West Midlands Fire Service. The panel is also being specified and installed in great quantities on the Dublin Logistics Park.

The secret fix insulated wall panel is available in 60mm, 80mm and 100mm thicknesses, all with an L°5 LPC approved low carbon PIR core (LPS 1181 Grade B, LPS 1208 Grade A). L°5 is a low carbon polyisocyanurate insulating core which is CFC and HCFC free and has a GWP potential of less than five – Joris Ide understands how imperative environmental performance of buildings and their components is to end users, developers, contractors etc, and is therefore continually working to upgrade its green credentials. When specified with Corus Colorcoat HPS200® and/or Colorcoat Prisma®, Joris Ide systems are available with the comprehensive Corus Confidex guarantee. These can be further bolstered by AWM’s independent warranty scheme, which gives a 25 year guarantee on refurbishment and new-build projects. “We are the only manufacturer to offer this level of independent cover, which is a huge bonus for our clients,” added Mr Grisewood. “It delivers complete peace of mind for all those involved in the supply chain, from client to contractor.” www.joriside.co.uk
