Oil & Gas industry wants ‘fit and forget’ tube systems

Interview with Nick Head, Business Development Executive for the Oil and Gas industry at Fine Tubes at Adipec, the Middle East’s biggest oil and gas exhibition.
Nick Head discusses how the increasing number of offshore developments in the Middle East is driving the demand for higher corrosion-resistant tubing capable of lasting 30+ years.In particular, he comments on the noticeable industry trend towards stainless steel 904L, 6 Moly and Nickel alloy tubing matching Fine Tubes’ expertise in manufacturing these specialist exotic alloys.
In the long term ‘fit and forget’ tube systems in higher corrosion-resistant alloys offer a much more cost-effective solution due to the costs for re-fitting corroded instrumentation systems combined with loss due to production down times.
Finally, he confirms that the change in company ownership offers great opportunities for Fine Tubes as well as its customers.
