Stedifoot Recommended by the Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust

19 July 2013

Available at and now recommended by the Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust (GAT) is the innovative walking aid attachment known as Stedifoot.

Designed to be easily fitted to the end of a walking stick or crutch, Stedifoot provides additional grip, stability and support for people of all ages and abilities, when out walking.

Steve Morton, Secretary of GAT comments: “I found the Stedifoot product following a search for new products to help bring relief to arthritis sufferers. We obtained some sample products to try out and the response has been overwhelmingly positive .

Everyone who tried it, ranging from local medical practitioners and physiotherapists to GAT volunteers, reported that they would have more confidence in walking when using Stedifoot at the end of a walking stick.

There was no slipping, even on polished floors and the fact that the product stands up vertically avoided the need to bend down and pick up a walking stick from the floor.

As our charity concentrates on helping the 70,000 people throughout Gloucestershire who suffer from Arthritis, we were particularly pleased that the Stedifoot was developed in the Cheltenham area using items made in Stroud. We shall be holding stock of Stedifoot for our GAT supporters.”

Ron Storey, MD of Stedifoot comments: "We are delighted to receive feedback that our product is helping to make walking a more enjoyable experience for those with arthritis and we look forward to a close association with the Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust.”
