The Powerbead Voted Best for Plastering

A "Top Product of 2007" award has been acredited to Renderplas by the Editor of Professional Builder for PowerBead, their new range of second generation PVCu beads.
There are hundreds of products featured in Professional Builder, with four products being named as winners of each category: PowerBead topped the list of "Paints, Plasters and Adhesives". No doubt the choice of the Editor was heavily influenced by the readers themselves following hundreds of responses for more information through the reader enquiry service.PowerBeads present a completely new concept in beads for rendering and plastering. Extrusion techniques never before applied to plasterers beads and innovative design have incorporated massive rigidity into these second genereation PVCu beads. Whether fixed directly onto blockwork that is uneven or onto external wall insulation, there is no need for adhesive mortar.
The clever box section design found in the corner beads, stop beads, bellcast beads and movement joints, ensures the bead plumbs straight whilst the flexible back plate adapts to the contours of the wall during fixing. Whilst making it incredibly easy to install, PowerBeads were 35% faster to apply than traditional beads like stainless steel and galvanized beads when tested at Burnley College. Further savings in adhesive mortar are also achieved, making PowerBeads the most cost effective beads available that comply to both British Standards that govern beading: BS EN 13914-1:2005 and BS EN 13658-2:2005.
