Harlequin looking forward to International Dance Teacher Conference

UK Marketing Manager of Harlequin Floors, Caroline Reilly is heading to the Royal Ballet School in Covent Garden for the International Dance Teacher Conference, founded by Anne Walker MBE, CEO of International Dance Supplies, next week.
Harlequin is one of the sponsoring companies of the four-day event, starting 4th August, which has lined up an impressive list of teachers for a busy programme of events.The organisers, International Dance Supplies, also promise “state of the art studios for the classes, masterclasses and seminars all benefiting from wall barres, mirrors, sprung floor, piano and hi-fi. There are 5 large studios with natural light and superb heating and air conditioning. The largest, The Linden Studio is a massive 20m x 15m space with seating for all 200 delegates and is fitted with a Harlequin Cascade dance floor.”
A host of familiar names appear in the ‘Faculty’ including tap stars Jo Scanlon of Tap Attack and the winner of series 2 So You Think You Can Dance, Matt Flint, while from ballet there is Wayne Sleep OBE who is the IDS ambassador, amongst others. Altogether there is wide range of dance styles from ballet to hip hop listed on the schedule including musical theatre - very appropriate to a location in heart of London’s theatre land, represented by Dame Gillian Lynne. “Choreographer of the longest running Broadway show in history The Phantom of the Opera and also choreographer of Cats the musical, Gillian Lynne DBE is an exciting addition to the faculty. Gillian will talk to Luke Rittner, Chief Executive of the Royal Academy of Dance about her life and career in the theatre, and what better place to witness this than the inspirational setting of The Royal Ballet School!”
