ECHO Launches Two New Chainsaws at BTME

19 November 2008

ECHO will launch two new emission compliant chainsaws at the 2009 BTME Exhibition, the CS-310ES, and the CS-600.

The new CS-310ES operates on an air-cooled 30.5cc 2-stroke engine, equipped with ECHO’s easy-start system, which means that the operator requires greatly reduced pulling power on the starter cord compared to other 2 stroke engines, and there is no kick-back effect in cranking.

The new CS-310ES weighs just 4kg, and has declared vibration levels of 6.9m/s² on the rear handle.  Front and rear handle guards provide protection for the operator, and the saw is supplied with a 38mm bar as standard.

The CS-600, operating on a torque efficient 59.8cc 2-stroke ECHO engine, is supplied with a 45mm bar as standard, and weighs 5.9kg.  This powerful saw is ideal for professional use, with a declared vibration level of just 6.1m/s² on the rear handle.

Key features of this new saw are the separately located carburettor and air cleaner case for vibration-free carburetion, dual pivoted chain brake handle for accurate actuation, double guide bar cover fastening nut for secured guide bar fixing and an inboard clutch and sprocket system for performance cutting.   An optional second spike bumper is available for additional support for tough cutting.

Both new saws will be available from authorised ECHO dealers from January 2009.
