16 December 2008

Warwick Preparatory School appointed David Bailey Furniture Systems in a £25,000 refurbishment project to improve its interior furniture and safety fittings.

Six classrooms at the independent day school were part of the refurbishment and David Bailey supplied the furniture designed to match the school’s existing colour scheme of beige and royal blue. David Bailey were also responsible for the comprising floor and wall-mounted units, worktops, storage trays and shelving.

Creating a happy and secure atmosphere is important to the independent primary school, so special care was taken in selecting suitable fixtures and fittings to ensure the children’s wellbeing.  Safety features included recessed door handles and safety catches on cupboards.

Sarah Budd, Bursar at the primary school, commented: “Warwick Preparatory School has used David Bailey for previous refurbishment projects, so we were confident that their furniture would do the job.  Their units are sturdy and robust and can be adapted to suit different classroom layouts.”

Warwickshire Preparatory School is an independent day school for boys aged three to seven and girls aged three to 11 years.  Over 450 children attend the primary school, which is part of the Warwick Independent Schools Foundation, the governing body for Warwick School for boys and King’s High School for girls.
