Stannah Lifts escorts fine diners in top Indian restaurant

13 February 2009

A Stannah luxury passenger lift is helping unite hungry clientele with haute cuisine in the UKs' oldest Indian restaurant, the legendary Veeraswamy in London’s' Regent Street.

An exclusive 2 stop, 8 person Maxilift MXL ferries guests between entrance foyer and mezzanine dining floor which has recently undergone a complete transformation to reflect the glamour and glory of its 1920’s ‘Maharaja Palace’ heritage. Reflecting the exotic decor, the lift is finished in brushed stainless steel with half-height rear mirror, voice annunciator and suspended, six spot down-lighter effect ceiling.

Marketing Manager for restaurant owners, Masala World, Lydia Pluckrose, commented: “As the Veeraswamy is an impressive restaurant with a discerning clientele, we needed to consolidate our high standards by offering the option to travel by lift between floors, especially as some of our customers have mobility restrictions. The MXL meets our criteria admirably.”

Available with traction or hydraulic drive, structure-supported or wall-mounted models and with or without motor rooms, Stannahs' Maxilift range of 6-16 person passenger lifts caters for various building types, heights, restrictions and budgets. All the lifts offer performance, flexibility, durability, comfort, and full DDA compliance for every people-moving demand in private and public sectors, including fine-dining venues such as The Veeraswamy. Maximum design options from choice in car sizes and door types to installation mountings and finishes, all lend themselves to tailoring high-specification, custom-made lifts for every application.
