The new SEFUSE D6X offers a new concept in thermal fuse technology. By combining a thermal fuse element and resistor on a single substrate, NEC has created a fast-acting ultimate protection device for high power DC applications upto 12A/32VDC.
The new SEFUSE D6X offers a new concept in thermal fuse technology. By combining a thermal fuse element and resistor on a single substrate, NEC has created a fast-acting ultimate protection device for high power DC applications upto 12A/32VDC. The D6X works on two principles. Firstly it operates like a conventional thermal fuse which will open when the local ambient temperature reaches the fuses operating temperature. Secondly it responds to an over-current signal from a monitoring circuit which self-heats the resistor thus opening the adjacent fuse. The D6X was designed to fit neatly in the space between adjacent MOSFETS thus improving response time and minimising board space required.Other Press Releases By This Company
