Active Garden installs new play area for village hall.

This preschool runs on a village hall by the church. They contacted us as the play area they had had organic woodchip, was always muddy and wet, so the children couldn't play on the existing climbing frame all year round. Their climbing frame was rotting and didn't challenge the children enough.

We did a few site visits to discuss with the customer the different surfaces and designs for the playground.
As they wanted a climbing frame to challenge children from age 3 to 11 ( they have an after-school club there too), we designed a double tower with lots of climbing. Wide climbing wall and chock wall at an angle, a commercial net, slide and a fireman's pole allow children various ways up and down the tower, for different abilities.
We finished the area with bonded rubber bark. This recycled product is a seamless cushioned surface that drains particularly well, and dries quickly, so the playground can be used all year round.
