Gloucester Cathedral - Project Pilgrim

18 January 2018

Ken White Signs are proud to be working on a variety of interesting sign projects contributing to Project Pilgrim at Gloucester Cathedral.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and through the generosity of Trusts and individuals, Project Pilgrim is an ambitious ten-year programme of capital development, regeneration and community engagement.  It’s about involving people to bring the Cathedral’s history and religious purpose to life.

Project Pilgrim will provide opportunities for all people, whatever their age, background or faith, to learn about, respond to and interact with Gloucester Cathedral.

Working alongside Imagemakers, a design agency and project management based in Okehampton, Devon, we have produced bespoke finger posts, engraved stone cubes on the green at the front of the cathedral, glass panels in the porch and on the entrance pillars.  The bespoke directional finger posts, as pictured, are manufactured using marine grade brushed stainless steel.

The individual, adjustable fingers are stainless steel in a curled format, with raised lettering bonded to the surface on both sides in a brushed stainless finish. The posts are finished with a stainless steel ball finial.

The fingers posts are a high quality product, with excellent durability and a design that complements the high quality of the Cathedral’s regeneration.
