A different approach to office furniture

30 May 2018

Here at Dash Dynamics we manufacture Resin domed badges and stickers for a very diverse range of industries. From Automotive to Health, from Furniture to Trophies.

Recently we had a new furniture customer forging a very different path to creating appealing office spaces, The Coggin Group or TGC Sustain.

This family run business was, and still is, in the business of providing customers with new bespoke planned office furniture. However it has now added another and much better solution to the problem.

As part of their business they often had to clear the space before they could refit. Sam and Dave Coggin took the old furntiure and, as many do, sold the best bits and had to dispose of the rubbish.

Sam in particular saw this as a complete waste and set about creating a solution.

Over the space of a couple of years he has now built the business TGC Sustain. This arm of the operation now takes the furniture which previously would have been condemmed to the scrapheap and rebuild it to as new (or in many cases, better than).

As a man not brought up in the 'Throw it away and buy a new one' mentality I immediately loved this environmentally friendly approach and taking a good look around their plant, all I could see was quality. I even put my hand in my own pocket, beat the moths out of it and purchased items built to my specifications.

The demand is so good they are even buying up other peoples stock to meet it.

Anything not worthy of a refurbishment is given to local good causes and charities. All scrap is recycled too.

I feel proud to have our badges being fitted to their products to spread the word.

So if you see one of their products know it has been rebuilt with love and care, and in the process helped reduce our landfill waste.

As a last word I also found it amusing that they had 'reprocessed' my Dad's old factory into something new and creative.
