UK Film Council provides grand entrance with Addagrip Addaflor

The non-slip EP Addaflor XFH was specified by Specialist Resin Flooring at the Portland Street buildings' entrance lobby and reception area.
Surfacing contractor Specialist Resin Flooring, a new division of Specialist Industrial Coatings Ltd (SICL), used Addagrip EP Addaflor XFH in Battleship Grey incorporating a medium anti-slip additive to provide a solution for the problem floor area which had previously looked dated and became slippery when wet.
The original flooring had been treated with a resin based screed in previous years making it look dated and unsafe when wet and cracks had developed in the floor where different substrate materials had been used. The floor also had a large number of coach bolt heads imbedded in the surface which were removed by SICL and the voids in-filled with a fast hardening resin mortar material. The cracks were then opened up, cleaned and then filled using a flexible joint system designed to work with the movement of the floor.
Peter Lambert-Gorwyn, Managing Director of SICL explained, “Addagrip’s EP Addaflor XFH was ideal for this application as it is easy to use and of a very high quality. We were confident that the resin could be used to achieve the exact finish required in the limited time available. The work was performed over two separate weekends using the fast hardening, solvent free epoxy resin which ensured that the treated areas could be returned to normal use on the Monday morning without any disruption to our client. “ He continued, “We have used Addagrip products for many years and have always found their assistance and support invaluable.”
EP Addaflor XFH is a fast curing solvent-free, two-part pigmented epoxy resin coating which provides an impervious, hardwearing gloss finish with good chemical resistance and wear properties. Addaflor XFH is designed for use as a coating, primarily on concrete floors in industrial premises, warehouses, garage and hangar floors.
