Twinfix bespoke canopies for multifunctional learning play areas

The staff and governors at North Wootton school in Norfolk recently ordered their second Twinfix canopy.
The canopy provides the schools' older children with a protected multi-functional area where they can both learn and play and covers an area of nearly 140m².
Manufactured with an aluminium truss framework, it was glazed with Twinfix patented Multi-Link, Non-Fragile glazing panels. These conform to HSE recommendations for non-fragile roofing, so any unauthorised access onto the canopy will not result in a dangerous fall through the roof. Fitted with multiwall polycarbonate glazing that prevents the transmission of harmful ultra violet and infra-red rays in natural sunlight, the maintenance-free aluminium structure was powder coated to the schools' colour scheme.
Twinfix, who have been trading for 20 years, offer a full design, manufacture and installation service. Canopies can be created with a range of different roof shapes to fit in and complement individual sites. The aluminium framework is available in a range of standard RAL colours as standard with other colours to special order. Clients can choose from a selection of different tints of multiwall polycarbonate roof glazing. North Wootton chose opal glazing for this canopy in order to cut down on the suns' glare.
