We know that our bathrobes and towels are often the very first ‘touchpoint’ literally for a customer when they arrive at a spa for a treatment. The bathrobe and the sensation of the fabric is often the very first thing that touches their skin before any treatment or spa experience. That is why BC Softwear dedicates so much time and energy into how their products are made and how well they perform in the laundry. We positively encourage our bathrobes to be long-lasting. We want our customers to feel they are getting value for money and we want their guests to get the very best experience of the bathrobe that is wrapped around them. The type of cotton, the unique weave of the fabric and the way the towelling is prepared to prevent shrinkage and boost softness, are all important factors in creating really soft and fluffy towels and robes.
As our population gets older to the need for more really gentle and hands on treatments will increase. So, we have also created Supremesoft which is an eco-savvy fabric for the treatment couch too. SupremeSoft has proven reduction in drying times and provides up to 70% saving in energy costs.
We also recognise that many of our guests also might require a larger bathrobe to help them to relax and feel properly covered up during a treatment. We are the only UK supplier to offer bathrobes in sizes small to XXXXL.
A few key facts: by 2030 the number of people in the UK aged 60 or over will hit 20 million – up 31 per cent from today’s figure of 15.3 million.
By 2040, nearly one in four people (24.2 per cent) will be 65 or older.
Over the same period, average life expectancy for those over 65 is expected to increase by around two years.
