Brady raises the bar with new Thermal Transfer Printer

29 June 2009

An easy-to-use thermal transfer printer that combines unbeatable quality with fantastic value for money seems too good to be true, but the new BBP11 from Brady promises just that.

Natasha Antunes, Marketing Co-Ordinator for Brady UK explains the benefits, “Our new printer is designed to give maximum quality, minimum downtime and optimum flexibility. Its' small footprint saves on space as well as time and money. For panel and systems professionals it makes an ideal choice as it can produce wire identification, cable marking and heat-shrink sleeves with minimal fuss in loading. It is an exciting new printer, not because it introduces any groundbreaking new technology but because it brings together all the Brady qualities into one small, affordable unit.” Supplied complete with free ready-to-use software, the BBP11 package also includes three communications ports (USB, LPT and Serial) as standard in addition to the standard Ethernet port.

Bradys' comprehensive portfolio of identification materials has already established itself within the panel-building industry as providing durable, easy to use and cost effective labelling. Its EPREP, instant three layer engraved-plate replacement labels were specifically designed to replace engraved and plotted plates for the identification of electrical components, electrical cabinets, push button and patch panels without the cost and time necessary when outsourcing their production. With correct identification crucial in the Panel-Building profession, the Product Team at Brady drew up a list of key points to address the most common pitfalls of identification without the Brady back-up. These were as follows:

Labels falling off:
Brady offers a multitude of high performance materials, in many cases with a specialised adhesives, capable of withstanding prolonged attack from harsh environmental conditions such as freezing, scratching, rubbing, water or solvent damage. Brady's labels can even be applied to structured and paint-coated surfaces.

Labels becoming illegible:
Brady offers durable label substrates and high-quality print that allow the accurate reading of the label information after many years of exposure to harsh environments. The printed legend can also be protected by a clear overlaminate.

Labels not easy to use:
Brady adhesives are capable of being lifted easily from their liner for rapid application.

The difficulties of applying and printing labels in the field:
Brady has flexible portable-printer range, providing customers with an easy-to-use solution for working in the field that does not compromise quality.

Products are not easy to procure:
Brady offers the biggest breadth of product line, with more than 1500 distributors throughout Europe and 12 sales points, Brady products and printmedia are always available nearby for fast delivery.

Customers are searching for a solution that works with all brands:
Brady offers terminal-block markers for any brand, and component-marking labels for most common electrical components currently on the market.

Engraved plates are expensive and inflexible:
Brady introduced EPREP (Engraved Plate Replacement), a flexible three-layer "legend plate" label.

Complying with specifications:
Brady offers labelling materials to comply with most specifications, for example diesel-resistant and high temperature sleeves.

“Complacency just doesn’t exist within the Brady culture” continues Natasha, “We are continually looking to improve our range and products to the customer- to give them a total solution for their identification needs. Our ideal is to make our customers lives easier and their businesses more cost-effective. With the new BBP11 and our established range of labelling materials we think we have considerably raised the bar in terms of performance and value.”
