ITM Components announces new Extron A/V Matrix Switcher with DSP

ITM introduces the new Extron MPX Plus 866 A ProDSP™, the industry's first A/V Matrix Switcher with professional DSP.
ITM Components announces availability in the UK of the new MPX Plus 866 A ProDSP™ Media Presentation Matrix Switcher. The Industry's First A/V Matrix Switcher with Professional DSP, Extrons' exclusive ProDSP is the result of more than two years of research to develop a professional grade digital signal processor specifically for the A/V integration market.Extron engineers started with a clean sheet and engineered ProDSP from the ground up, with an extensive set of audio DSP tools designed to meet the needs of A/V sound system designers and installers. Extron then integrated ProDSP into the MPX Plus 866A to create a single, compact solution that eliminates the need for outboard processing equipment, simplifying integration and reducing system cost in the process. ProDSP offers an extensive selection of audio DSP tools, including feedback suppression, microphone ducking, and mic/line matrix mixing, that is designed to facilitate audio system design, configuration, and commissioning.
ProDSP is managed through Extrons' unique DSP Configurator Software, which provides an intuitive Graphical User Environment with a full view of all audio processing blocks and A/V routing ties in a single window. The MPX Plus 866 A is the ideal one-box solution for complete audio and video integration that simplifies system requirements, expedites installation, and saves money.
Key Features include four matrix switchers in one: 8x6 VGA, 6x6 composite video or S-video, 14x6 stereo audio, and a 4x6 mic / line matrix mixer. Entirely new, powerful 32/64-bit floating point audio DSP engine from Extron supports multiple, simultaneous DSP processes while maintaining extremely low latency Intuitive Graphical User Environment allows for complete A/V system visualization, audio DSP processing control, audio and video I/O ties, and microphone mixing points in a single window SpeedNav keyboard navigation for mouse-free control of the DSP Configurator software from a laptop.
