INTA approve PULSE for Aircraft Noise Certification

Following the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacial completion of noise tests, PULSE, from Brüel & Kjær has been approved to international standards for aircraft noise certification.

The INTA test were carried out for the new Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (MRTT) Aircraft. Based on testing and extensive validation work at Brüel & Kjær headquarters, the companys' noise data acquisition, analysis, recording and reproducing system now complies with the International Civil Aviation Organisation Annex 16, Volume 1, Fourth Edition, Appendix 2.

The validation is a general approval of the PULSE Data Acquisition and Analysis System for noise certification of all types of aircraft. PULSE is a versatile, task-oriented system that provides the platform for a range of noise and vibration measurement and analysis solutions.

PULSE’s flexibility, combined with industry-specific solutions, has made it Brüel & Kjærs' best-selling analyser platform. There are currently more than 10,000 PULSE systems in operation globally, which are used primarily within the automotive, aerospace and telecommunication industries for research and development.
